Your Google Business Profile can be your best friend, or it could be the downfall of your remodeling business.
Think about it, the last time you bought something on Amazon, what did you look for the most?
Most likely you looked at the reviews first, right?
Most people do this, and for good reason, you want to see if what you’re about to buy is worth it and if it will fulfill your needs.
It’s the same with your company. So many people have bad experiences with other companies that a good or bad review can be one of the biggest determining factors when choosing you.
It’s not enough to have one or two or even ten 5-star reviews, when your prospective buyers can see a steady stream of reviews coming in each month, they see
#1: You do great work.
#2: You’re still in business.
#3: They can trust you.
We’ve established that first, you need to be getting consistent reviews…
So why should you respond to a review?
#1: If its a good review, you can show gratitude.
#2: If its a bad review, you can respond and protect your reputation.
#3: It shows Google that you’re active (they want you engaged).
Imagine someone clicks on your Google listing and they see a 3-star or worse, a 1-star review. What do you think they will do? They most likely will read that low star review first. It’s just how people operate on the internet.
If that review is very negative and it is left to just sit there, what do you think goes through the mind of your potential customers?
“Is what this person said true?”
“Are they trustworthy?”
So many questions arise when it goes unaddressed.
A researching potential customer may not know the true character of how you operate your remodeling company. So, those negative reviews can carry an immense weight.
How do you make a bad review good?
By responding. When you respond to a negative review in an honorable and gracious way—whether the review was a legitimate reaction or not, you show the readers that you address concerns.
Because think about it, if someone is going to pay you for your services, they want to see how you handle conflict, because its inevitable that some sorts of barriers will arise along the way and they need to trust you to handle it appropriately.
Your reviews are one of the most important pieces of trust building for your future customers.
How do you leave a response on a Google review?

#2. Navigate to your listing with the review.
#3. Click on reviews.
#4. Click on the “Reply”
